Our Story

Dr. John Y. Shih and Suwanee Family Physicians

John Shih, D.O, FAAFP is board-certified from the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Board of Family Medicine, and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.
He is on staff at Emory Hospital, Johns Creek, and Northside Gwinnett, where he is past chair of family medicine.
He graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and has been practicing in Georgia since 1995.
He is a senior aviation medical examiner for the FAA, certified to perform class 1, 2, and 3 medical exams for pilots and flight professionals.

He is nationally board certified by the Department of Transportation to perform DOT exams for truck drivers.
He is an active member of the Gwinnett-Forsyth Medical Society, where he was a past president and a member of the Medical Association of Georgia.
He lives locally in Suwanee with his family and loves to spend time on Lake Lanier.
Suwanee Family Physicians is based in Suwanee, Georgia. Our offices are right off of Peachtree Industrial boulevard.

Jocelyn Castellano

APRN, AGNP-BC

Jocelyn Castellano, APRN, AGNP-BC, is an adult nurse practitioner with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. She has family medicine experience working both in private practice and at Northside Hospital in their ICU. Her unique combination of strong, collaborative, clinical experience and boundless positive energy make her a patient favorite.
