John Shih, D.O, FAAFP is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Board of Family Medicine and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. He is on staff at Emory Hospital, Johns Creek and Gwinnett Medical Center, Duluth and Lawrenceville. He graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and has been practicing in Georgia since 1995. He is a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the FAA, certified to perform Class 1, 2 and 3 medical exams for pilots and flight professionals and is nationally Board certified by the Department of Transportation to perform DOT exams for truck drivers. He is an active member of the Gwinnett-Forsyth medical society where he was a past president and a member of the Medical Association of Georgia. He lives locally in Suwanee with his family and loves to spend time on Lake Lanier.
We are based in Suwanee, Georgia. Our offices are right off of Peachtree Industrial boulevard.

Kanwal graduated from South University in Savannah and has previous experience in pediatrics, weight loss, anti-aging medicine and primary care. She is always happy to help and goes the extra mile for all of her patients.
Karen is a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee and lives locally in Suwanee. She has experience in Family Medicine and Counseling Psychology. Her upbeat and pleasant personality make her a joy to work with.
Christine Cantilena Barnes
Licensed Associate Professional Counselor
Christine is a trauma specialist with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has provided assessments for Emory Mobile in the emergency room and has worked in a variety of units at Peachford Hospital. She offers individual and group counseling for depression, anxiety, and grief.
Meredith is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. Meredith completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Georgia, and then went on to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Bethel University in Tennessee. She is an active member of the American Association for Physician Assistants and Georgia Association of Physician Assistants.
Prior to starting her career in medicine, Meredith was a researcher in the field of infectious diseases, with a focus on vaccine development. On her time off, she enjoys spending time with her husband and animals, and cheering on the UGA bulldogs.
